Project Reflection
Ever Since the beginning of April, the entire 9th grade has been working to design the new campus for Animas High School. We took a test that placed in the groups that we were in for the entire project. When we first started we were planning on each group focused on one aspect of the school instead of the whole campus, but that quickly changed into the campus with that specific shared space. While working in this project I acquired several new skills, but the one that really stuck with me would be sustainable building materials. From the beginning I had background information on this topic. My dad is a carpenter and every house I have ever lived in (with him) he had either built or done enough construction on to make it a house for a family, one of the homes I lived in that he built was a little cabin, to save money (and the earth) we made our little home passive solar, we used grey water, and we composted everything. I was 8 when we lived in that cabin so coming into this project, I was so happy to finally understand why we did this. In this project, I was in a group of four, we all had similar ideas and it was smooth sailing. We did our background information together.
